Ways to Promote your Childcare Sessions

Standard Discounts

CoB allows you to offer Sibling and Staff discounts as standard options, which can be managed under the Rates (Pricing & Discounts) section.

– Sibling Discount: If a parent books multiple children into the same session, the sibling discount will automatically apply to the second child (if configured).

– Staff Discount: To trigger this discount, the parent must be marked as a “Staff Member.” This can be set under Registers >> Parent/Carers.

Early Booking Discounts

Encourage parents to book childcare early by setting a custom early booking rate. Parents who book before a specific date within your term will benefit from a discounted rate configured during your session setup.

Steps to Set Up an Early Booking Discount:

1. Create or Edit a Term: In the term settings, locate the “Early Booking Discount Date” field and specify the desired date for the discount to apply.
2. Set the Session Rate: Create or edit a session and configure the rate. If a parent books on or before the set date, the discounted rate will automatically apply.

Early Bird Discounts

Early Bird discounts encourage advanced bookings for individual sessions. For example, you might offer a preferential rate to parents who book breakfast club sessions at least seven days in advance.

Steps to Set Up an Early Bird Discount:

1. Edit or create a session.
2. Locate the “Early Booking/Early Bird Discounts” section.
3. Specify the number of days required for advanced booking and set the discounted rate

Weekly Discounts

Weekly discounts encourage block bookings by applying a reduced rate when five sessions are booked in the same transaction. This is a system setting and may not be visible in your session setup. If needed, contact support to enable it.

Steps to Set Up Weekly Discounts:

1. Edit or create a session.
2. Go to the Rates (Pricing & Discounts) section and enter the following:

– Weekly Discount Rate

– Weekly Sibling Discount Rate

3. (Optional) Configure the discount to apply only to the same session type (e.g., five identical sessions) rather than a mix of different sessions. Note: Bank holidays may reduce the required number of sessions to four.

Promotional Codes

Promotional codes are a fantastic marketing tool! You can offer discounts as a fixed amount or percentage off. Additionally, codes can be made secure by linking them to specific parents. All codes are tracked against bookings, providing valuable insights for your marketing efforts.

If you don’t see the option for promotional codes, contact support to enable the feature.

Steps to Set Up Promotional Codes:

1. Go to Set-ups >> Promotional Codes >> Add New.
2. Provide a description and create the code. The code will be used at checkout to trigger the discount.
3. Specify whether the discount is a percentage (%) or fixed amount (£) and enter the appropriate value.
4. Set restrictions:

– Choose either Date Range or Number of Uses (note: you cannot use both).

– If needed, assign the code to a specific parent for added security.
